The slate-blue field of this carpet brings the calm of an evening sky. Handmade in Morocco by master Beni Mrirt weavers, it’s crafted from premium wool selected for exceptional softness and durability. After weaving, the surface is carefully sheared and then hand-carved to create a raised pattern with soft edges, so the geometry never feels strict or sterile. Underfoot, the plush pile compresses like moss and rebounds with a quiet spring, lending a luxurious feel to bedrooms, reading corners, or open living rooms. The cool, grey-blue tone coordinates effortlessly with natural oak, white plaster, or polished concrete. Because the process—from dyeing to washing to carving—is done entirely by hand, every rug carries subtle variations that prove its human authorship. In keeping with Beni Mrirt practice, the motif scales with your requested dimensions; our workshop adjusts line spacing and thickness so the design remains legible whether you choose a runner, square, or grand area rug.
